fantastic stay with thoughtful staff!

friendly staffadjacent roomsearly breakfastvalet parking fees
I enjoyed the friendly and cute staff. they readily accommodated my request for adjacent rooms! eden, catherine, and josie were especially lovely during breakfast. herbert kindly prepared breakfast early before our niagara trip. i really must give kudos to the whole staff for making my stay so enjoyable!
it only offered valet, and the two nights were 125 cad! i think i should have received a notification beforehand. It felt a little underhanded.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel features a well-kept gym, a swimming pool, and a sauna. All are in very good condition. i observed the facilities were quite clean, so future guests can enjoy worry-free stays. That is really great! the gym includes two treadmills and an elliptical machine.
Service
9/10
Aline at check-in was excellent and very professional! the staff ensured i had an enjoyable experience, and my request for rooms near each other was handled efficiently. It really added to the stay's ease. i appreciated the attentive service. That's what i call dedication.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast service was definitely good. I got to taste some yorkville elite options! the restaurant staff showed great friendliness and prepared our breakfast as early as possible since we had a trip to niagara. Such a plus! herbert especially ensured we had breakfast ready by 6:45 am.
Location
9/10
The hotel is near many shops and restaurants. That is so handy! the subway stop is only a short walk away, being just one and a half blocks away. It is really convenient! the proximity to various attractions and services makes it an ideal base for exploring the area.

a satisfactory stay

convenient locationspacious roomhelpful staffunreliable wifiduvet issuemini-bar fridge
the location is really convenient (i could walk to many places). the room was spacious and had a great layout. the staff were helpful. the complimentary water was a nice perk.
the wifi was unreliable and kept disconnecting me. i found the lack of a regular sheet (only a duvet) a bit uncomfortable. there was only a mini-bar fridge, so storing my own food was difficult.

decent stay, minor drawbacks

convenient locationsubway stationthermostat problemsvent disconnection
the location proved excellent. it was a short walk to a subway station and many restaurants. the royal ontario museum was right across the street.
i experienced thermostat problems throughout my stay. the thermostat kept resetting to 75 degrees fahrenheit. the hotel ended up disconnecting the vent, and i slept with the window open. this was uncomfortable, as it was -1c outside.

the location was perfect for exploring. i could easily walk to many attractions (like the museum right across the street!). the beautiful king room was spacious and well-appointed.
the thermostat in my room kept resetting. it was really inconvenient and made it hard to get comfortable (especially in the middle of the night!).
